Amendments
1. The rules of conduct may be amended as specified in Article 7.
2. All bylaws, including Article 7, may be recalled, altered, and amended at any general meeting of the Kingdom under the following strictures:
a. The proposed changes must have been made known by the Scribe to all the members at least thirty (30) days before the date of the general meeting in which the bylaw changes are being considered.
b. Members may be present in person or by signed and dated proxy.
c. Any proxy must specify the conditions under which it operates and the general nature of the votes to which it applies. It must provide general instructions to the proxy-holder in regard to the vote to be cast by proxy. The proxy may indicate that the general views of the proxy-giver and the views of the proxy-holder are sufficiently alike that the holder may cast the vote as he or she chooses. This is sufficient to meet the requirements of this provision.
3. A 2/3 majority vote of the Members of Court (not just those present) and the additional approval of the Liege Lord is required to amend these bylaws, except for Article 2, Article 7 and Article 8.
a. Article 2 requires a unanimous vote or sole decree by the Liege Lord
b. Article 7 requires a unanimous vote for amendment in the general meeting or sole decree by the Liege Lord
c. Article 8 (this article) requires a unanimous vote for amendment or sole decree by the Liege Lord |
