Courtesy to Royalty

Personages of our Royalty and Nobility should be treated with the respect befitting their title. This does not mean you should make a great show of groveling to them…although a little bit of groveling never hurt anyone! (Official Royalty of the presiding festival, faire or sponsoring event shall always be considered the highest ranking Royalty while in their presence) .

If you are approaching a personage of our Royalty or Nobility, you should make a small but noticeable reverence (bow or courtesy). This will allow others to know that someone of Royal or Noble position is present and will often times encourage other patrons to get involved and “play the part”. Remember, this is “living history!”
