Organizational Structure

The Kingdom of Onondaga operates the way we think a medieval kingdom might have. While sometimes democratic in nature, very often it was not. This Kingdom is no different and is loosely patterned along the lines of a Monarchy and the Feudal System.

Royalty

The Royalty of the Kingdom of Onondaga will consist of the King / Queen (Your Majesty) and Prince / Princess (Your Highness) inclusive of all applicable members of the Royal Household and will be identified by the following tincture color ribbons or tassels:

King / Queen – Purpue (Purple)

Prince / Princess – Azure (Blue)

(Reserved for the Household of our Sovereign Liege)

Nobility

Titles of Nobility in the Kingdom of Onondaga may be awarded for outstanding contributions and/or years of service to the Realm or our Sovereign Liege and will be identified by the following tincture color ribbons or tassels:

Duke / Duchess - 16 to 20 years service – Vert (Green)

Marquess / Marquise - 11 to 15 years service – Gules (Red)

Earl / Countess - 6 to 10 years service – Ore (Yellow/Gold)

Baron / Baroness - 2 to 5 years service – Argent (White/Silver)

(Open to all Active Adult Members at the Award of the Sovereign Liege Only)

The Kingdom of Onondaga will recognize titles of Royalty and/or Nobility from other like organizations for the purpose of address and courtesy. However, they may not be automatically eligible for privileges reserved for the Nobility of the Kingdom of Onondaga.

Rank, Title & Tincture Governing Council

The Governing Court and Council of the Kingdom of Onondaga is responsible for the planning of “Official Kingdom” events and/or functions throughout the year in accordance to with stated objectives as further outlined in Article 6 of our By-Laws and currently includes:

Master-at-Arms (Seneschal) - Active Member - 3 years of service

Captain of the Royal Guard - Active Member - 3 years of service

Commodore of the Royal Navy - Active Member - 3 years of service

Sergeant of the Royal Guard - Active Member - 2 years of service

Tax Collector - Active Member - 2 years of service

Scribe - Active Member – 1 year service

Herald - Active Member – 1year service

Wizard - Active Member – 1 year service
